about

This Is How The World Ends provides an emotional narrative of the anxiety and profound sense of loneliness that can come from excessive social media use - a relatable issue for all of us.

The song’s lyrics explore the pain and suffering that can result from social media addiction. We’re more accessible than ever, and for good reason. But are the downsides of mass misinformation, echo chambers, virtue signaling, victimization, victim blaming, and harassment are far reaching.

This Is How The World Ends was written prior to the pandemic, but the requirement to socially distance, the quarantine, and rampant online misinformation amplified the message as the band cautiously prepared for their August recording. Fellowcraft recorded at Ivakota Recording with the help of producer Tonio Ruiz (of QBO, Coda, Agora, and Jet Jaguar). Ivakota is owned by Ben Green and located in the heart of Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
